A parodied "where do we go from here" narrative on global warming.
THE CAMPAIGN
Auction House 0000 is a performance art campaign about a fictional auction taking place in a dystopian future where the Earth has been ruined by humanity.
The items sold at the auction are "luxury items" due to their scarcity. Some examples are the last bar of chocolate, last can of tuna, and even a bottle of clean air.
They are being bid on by various members of big business corporations who have caused the most damage to the Earth by refusing to acknowledge and rectify their behavior. The ironic plot aims to ridicule their current denial to climate change.
Auction House 0000 will be set in a public place as a spectacle so that anyone can watch; it will also be advertised by posters and shared on social media.

For the key visual, we focused on the theme of apparent destruction unseen due to bias or ignorance.
Illustrated in blue are normal, ideal scenes of the city, land, and ocean, whereas in red, shows the industrial wastes, air pollution, droughts, fire, and more destructions.

Red in this campaign is symbolic of ignorance and bias; it is a choice the industries made to ignore the destruction they’re causing.The method is to demonstrate how people would rather see through the literal red film glasses to ignore the apparent change, as seeing through the red will eliminate the imagery of destruction.

THE PERFORMANCE
The performance is set to be hosted in Bryant Park where there is a lot of traffic and exposure. We invite participants to wear masks and engage in the awfully ironic sale of the decade.
There are three performances scheduled throughout three weeks. Each performance focuses on an environment - the ocean, the land, and the air.
We imagined rough scripts for each dark comedy - for instance, since week one targets ocean problems of overfishing and rising ocean acidity, the auction is set for a canned tuna. The auction would end in chaos as canned tuna is of such rarity and the winner bidder ends up trampled underfoot.

The Performances
SOCIAL PRESENCE
Auction House 0000 will have different social media accounts to promote the event on the internet using hashtag #AuctionHouse0000 and to gather the audience’s reactions and information in one place.
