THE BRIEF
OKKO is a magnetic fine jewelry brand designed by Nancy Wang (Pratt Jewelry 21'). The essence of the brand is the cubical magnetic clasps that not only functions to connect instantly, but also enables different combinations.
A challenge to the branding is that OKKO spelled out is a patented name in Mainland China already; therefore, the final logo has to be designed to register as a geometric shape illegible as its name OKKO.

TARGET AUDIENCE
OKKO targets Gen-Z and young millennials between ages 18-28.
This generation leans into self-expression, voicing beliefs and joining actions to change; they wear brands that are chic, unique, and share their values.
ARTIST STATEMENT
OKKO Volumn I is a reaction towards the AAPI Hate. I experienced the hostility first hand in New York City and it had me questioning: is compassion and respect too much to ask for? Our first drop “STOP HATE KEEP LOVE” is a statement piece demanding attention - each and every piece in this collection expresses our emotions and takes a stand on current social issues.

INTRODUCING MMM
To address brand personality, our signature clasps are give the name MMM (Mix-Match-Magnets). The superscripted MMM is inspired by TM (Trademark) symbol to serve as product classification and enhance brand recognition.
